This book is 4.3" x 3.3", and this is a terrible way to see these masterpieces. There is a lot of information written about each painting or sculpture which is helpful. For example, the sculpture "Pieta'" has fascinating information such as that "while trying to change to position of Christ's legs ….. Michelangelo uncovered an imperfection in the marble that caused the sculpture-in-progress to break." It's height is 89" and is in the Museum of the Cathedral in Florence. However, the tiny picture of the sculpture that accompanies this information is absolutely too small to really see the genius of the man's talent who sculpted it.
